Ms. Martinez has 14 years of experience using applied behavior analysis methods in treating children with autism and other related disorders. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, she began working as a therapist in home-based ABA programs. Ms. Martinez obtained her Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Education and holds various Illinois State Board of Education credentials. Ms. Martinez received her M.S.Ed. (Masters of Science in Early Childhood Special Education) from Northern Illinois University and continued her formal education to obtain certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. While obtaining her Board Certification Behavior Analyst credential, she received supervision by Dr. Carl Sundberg, an expert in the field of applied behavior analysis emphasizing Verbal Behavior. Currently, Ms. Martinez provides ABA consultation services emphasizing B.F. Skinner’s approach to teaching language to children and adolescents. She provides consultation to parents running home-based ABA programs as well as public and private schools. Ms. Martinez is the current president of the Behavior Analysis Society of Illinois, Clinical Director of Children’s Autism Center, and Senior Behavior Analyst/President of ABA Chicago Inc. She also serves as consulting behavior analyst to Illinois State Department of Human Services agencies that service adults with developmental disabilities. Credentials
